My programs are created and modified after an assessment of the individual’s growth development, dynamic postural control and physical maturity. Whether it is between an organized sport season to stay in shape, or a new client seeking to improve their overall health and fitness, I will be encouraging healthy lifestyles and physical fitness along with daily aerobic muscle and bone strengthening.  The training programs are unique to the individuals needs and development.  With the continual increase in childhood obesity and diabetes, current youth fitness guidelines now focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and health-related physical fitness (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 2018).

Untrained youth can improve their strength by an average of 30% to 40% or more after 8 weeks of progressive resistance training (Lloyd et al., 2014). Resistance training in youth has also been shown to improve motor skills, such as sprinting and jumping, body composition, and bone mineral density. (Dahab & McCambridge, 2009; Lloyd et al., 2014; Roberts et al., 2008).

Most importantly, I want them to feel encouraged, motivated and empowered by keeping the exercises creative, effective and fun!
